nah that’s a weak excuse it’s been proven that poc can lead entertainment and still get views and good ratings. i don’t believe in that “we gotta start somewhere” bs at this point anymore. tired of white women being put first it’s exhausting
by all means it’s great to see women like rey and now the 13th doctor in media (and i’m not telling you not to enjoy it because even i still do) but i’m done pretending that it is revolutionary anymore
it’s really hard to keep getting excited about another white lead when roles for woc are still lacking. when they are included it’s still mostly supporting/sidekick roles and we aren’t getting leads.
